This is a walk proposed by Tatsuo, one of our team’s guide!
Tokyo is one of the largest cities in the world.
There are many historic, lively, popular and also quiet district. Even if on the same roads, these landscapes would be very different by time (morning and evening).
Through this experience, we try to present you varied landscapes in Tokyo and also that of Edo period in comparisons geographically.
We decided to cross Tokyo downtown along the Kanda River because it is one of the symbols of Tokyo as Seine in Paris ! It begins with Inokashira Park (west of Shinjuku) in the best residential area, runs inside the JR Yamanote line from the historic district to the bustling area, once under the highway, and leads to the large Sumida river in the retro district where we can find boats at table that leave. At the end of the tour, you could watch a landscape of the Kanda River and Sumida with the Skytree Tower and traditional boats. If it’s evening, you could admire a jewel of Tokyo.
Route: about 3h by electric bike
-We start with Takadanobaba (the western end of the JR Yamanote line) to Ryogoku (the eastern end of the JR Yamanote line).
-We will see: a large mature animated at Takadanobaba station, visit a Japanese garden in Edogawabashi, run under the highway, pass historic, lively, popular neighborhoods in comparisons of current landscapes and that of the Edo era
Exit Waseda of JR Takadanobaba station (Yamanote line) ※We will finish at Ryogoku/Asakusabashi
6,000 yen par person
-You can choose 1 or 2 1/One drink & snacks 2/Green tea & Japanese cakes in the Japanese garden (+250 yen)
